Work on endurance: Eden

July 26, 2015 4:28 am

Local rugby commentator, Graham Eden says the Flying Fijians will need to sort out their lapse of concentration in the second half if they wish to succeed in their remaining games in the Pacific Nations Cup.

This comes after the national side’s 30-all draw against Samoa yesterday.

Eden says it was the second time that Fiji was outplayed in the second-spell, drawing comparisons with the team’s 27-26 loss to the Maori All Blacks in Suva earlier this month.

“We will have to have John McKee find out why we fade away in the second half. It wasn’t the same against Tonga but there must be some lack of endurance and stamina to be able to maintain their lead in the second half.”

The Flying Fijians will take on Japan in their final PNC pool match in Toronto, Canada next Thursday with the play-offs to be held the following week.
