Fiji 7s halfback, Nikola Matawalu was dropped this morning from the national team for the Glasgow and London 7s.

Team management say he was excluded from the squad for disciplinary issues.

Fiji Rugby Union operations manager, Vilikesa Rinavuaka confirmed the latest change.

“Nikola turned up drunk which is the reason he has been dropped.”

Not the best start for the Fiji 7s campaign to win the final IRB World Sevens Series leg.

He has paid the price by being dropped from the squad, which as given speedster, Sikeli Vuruna a spot in the team.

The Glasgow 7s will be held this weekend.
