Vodafone Cup set to kick off

Forty-three clubs will compete in the Fiji National Rugby League Vodafone Cup which kicks off this weekend.

This is an increase of four teams from last year.

FNRL Chief Executive Timoci Naleba says the competition has produced good products who are currently playing profession NRL overseas.

“The competition over the years has been tremendous. We have seen some of our players securing overseas rugby league contracts and are currently playing in Australia and England.”

The club competition kicks off this weekend in all zones.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Fiji donated twenty thousand dollars towards the competition.
