Tonga aims for strong outing in Fiji

The Tonga Under-20 Rugby side wants to finish strong at the Oceania Junior Rugby Trophy tournament.

The team was the first to arrive into Fiji today.

Coach, Liueli Fusimalohi says their priority now is to get players to adapt to a different environment.

“My aim is to win the tournament and because the air is different and good, I’m trying to recover the boys.”

Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu arrive later tonight.

The three teams will compete against Fiji in the Oceania Junior Rugby Trophy tournament start on Friday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The winner will join Samoa in qualifying for the Junior World Trophy in Zimbabwe next year.

The Vodafone Fiji Under-20 side will face PNG in its opening match at 5pm.
