Thumbs up for team Asia: Badiee

Asian Table Tennis Team Manager, Afshin Badiee is impressed with the game results displayed by his players in the ITTF World Cadet Challenge currently underway at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

Badiee says they are satisfied with their game results which they expected coming into the tournament.

“I’m satisfied with the results of my team. In boys team we had five matches and each match had three games and we won all the 15 games and same happens in girls’ event. This is what we are after.”

The Asian teams are comprised of top players from Korea, Japan, China, Chinese Taipei and India.

Huang Yingqi of Asia displayed an outstanding performance in his second match beating Rios Valentina of Latin America 4-1 in the boys ‘challenge.

He earlier defeated Lima Livia of Latin America 1-0 in his opening match.

However Team Fiji-Pacific players have yet to win any matches.
The tournament continues tomorrow.
