Teams have raised concerns on the bad ground condition at the Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori for this current Fiji FACT matches.

Nadi soccer coach, Kamal Swamy says the muddy ground hinders the players to show football skills as it is difficult to move the ball on the ground.

“Looking at the ground condition, the football is not going on, it’s just kicking and chasing. We can see less number of goals scored. And it is very hard to move the ball on the ground and everybody is playing high ball which is not good for football. Injuries are coming up and if the ground conditions are good, it will be safer to play”.

Likewise, Savusavu teams technical advisor Tony Kabakoro says the whole tournament should be called off considering players health safety.

“I think if we continue playing in this condition the security and well being of the players is my main concern. The weather is not good, and health wise too, we can get flu fever, and other sickness. So it’s advisable that they call the whole thing off”.

Meanwhile, Fiji FA officials are expected to meet again this morning to make final decisions for the tournament today.
