Lautoka’s Praneel Naidu was given a red card in the second half of play and will not play in the second leg next weekend.

Lautoka Coach Kamal Swamy says it was an unexpected result as the best team won.

“We did not expect this but Team Wellington was the best team today. In the second half we did start well but unfortunately another goal was considered and the whole morale went down.”

Team Wellington Coach Jose Figueira was happy with his team’s performance.

“The first leg gave us a good position in going into the second leg especially in the second half where we went up and it’s good to see the boys keep the momentum alive.”

Lautoka will host Team Wellington next Sunday at 2pm at Lautoka’s Churchill Park in the second leg of the final.
