Team Fiji Squash have won their first medal at the Pacific Games.

Fiji defeated Papua New Guinea 2 sets to 1 in the women’s triples to win a bronze medal.

Team Manager Frank Chan says the women have a chance of winning more medals.

“A lot of mind games happens in this game so I mean anything can happen on the day as far as the men’s concerned we are probably not ranked as highly but we have got a good chance in the ladies, we have a number two seed, from Fiji which is our number one ladies, Alison.”

The national team lost to Papua New Guinea two days ago but Makita Sokidi, Alison Mua and Janice Chan turned the table yesterday when it mattered the most.
