The Suva under 16 football side defeated Navua 4-2 on penalty kicks to win the Southern Division football tournament in Suva today.

Both teams were locked at nil-all after full time and the match had to be decided on the dreaded penalty kicks.

Earlier in the competition, Suva defeated Nasinu 1-0 while Navua beat Rewa by the same margin.

The tournament was part of Fiji football association’s development program.

Similar tournaments are expected to be held in the Western division in the next few weeks.
