The Suva football side is through to the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants final beating Labasa one nil in the semifinal at Churchill Park today.

Savenaca Nakalevu scored the goal in the second spell of extra time after both teams were locked nill all at full time.

Suva coach Gurjeet Singh says it was a hard fought victory after losing its defenders Waisake Navunigasau and Remueru Takiate in the second half of the game.

“The players played their hearts out and it will be a big task for us tomorrow as we need to recover well before the final.”

Suva goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau says the players gave their all and thanked the players for the courageous effort.

“I would like to thank the players for their effort and also we need to do a lot of hardwork if we are to win the tournament.”

Meanwhile, in the second final currently underway Ba is leading Nadi one nil with a goal coming in from Saula Waqa.

The final is scheduled for 3pm tomorrow.
