Suva has cause for upset

August 15, 2012 12:59 am

It’s a repeat of last year’s Digicel Cup final, but both Suva and Nadroga know only one will make a second consecutive finals appearance.

Suva coach, Salimoni Ravouvou says this fact alone makes their clash against the defending champions even tougher at Lawaqa Park.

“It’s a mixture of young and old players and we know the task is very hard for us. We met them in the final last year and now we’re up against each other in the semis so we’re working on all aspects of the game, not taking anything lightly and just polishing up.”

Nadroga defeated Suva 13-9 in last year’s final.

This season the Stallions have recorded nine wins from 11 games played, one draw and one loss.

Suva has won eight games and lost three matches.

This match will be played at Lawaqa Park and the live commentary will air on RF 1.

The second semi between Tailevu and Naitasiri at Ratu Cakobau Park will air on Bula FM with the voice of rugby Graham Eden.
