A new surfing champion will be crowned at the 2014 ASP Tour Fiji Pro at Tavarua this weekend.

Defending champion and 11-time world surfing champ Kelly Slater was ousted by Tahitian Michel Bourez in the second heat quarter-final at Cloudbreak this afternoon.

A massive result for Bourez who said when he came into the Fiji Pro this year, he only was aiming to reach the quarter-finals.
