Six overseas rugby players pull out of Fiji U20

August 20, 2018 4:08 am

Fiji Rugby Under-20 coach Koli Sewabu has named a strong side to feature at the World Junior Trophy despite six of its overseas based pulling out last week.

Sewabu says the five players who are part of New Zealand ITM Cup and one player who’s preparing for the National Rugby Championship in Australia were not released by their clubs.

“It’s been a challenging few weeks for us. We have had a few good weeks of preparation and at the same time we have had a few players that have pulled out as well mostly the ones who are meant to come from overseas and the reason is because they have signed with the ITM Cup and the NRC competition.”
