February 1, 2016 12:01 am

The Suva football side will closely consider the fitness of its national reps before fielding them in the opening leg of the Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion Series against Nadi this weekend.

Suva coach, Gurjit Singh says Nickel Chand, Tevita Koroi, Jale Dreloa, Tony Tuivuna, Sakaraia Naisua, Filipe Baravilala and Rusiate Matererega will be given some slack in training this week, having returned today with the Fiji Under-23 side from a six-match tour of Spain.

Singh says the players will join the Suva camp on Wednesday and a decision will be made on whether to include them in first match.
