Singh brings improvement-Wasasala

Labasa football’s attacking forward Christopher Wasasala says new coach Gurjit Singh has brought in positive changes to the squad ahead of next week’s Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament.

Wasasala says the players in the squad respect Singh and hopes are high for a good outcome in front of the home fans.

“We are happy for what he has done in the past few days and we hope we will give him a good feedback next week. Our aim is to win the pool games and qualify for the semi-finals.”

The Babasiga Lions play its first match of the BOG tournament against Suva on Friday week at 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, in the Vodafone Premier League competition, Nadi hosts Rakiraki at 7.30pm today at Prince Charles Park.

In other matches this week, Ba battles Rakiraki at 3pm on Sunday at Govind Park while at the same time, Nadi hosts Lautoka at Prince Charles Park and you can catch a live commentary of the match on Radio Fiji Two, with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
