Dranisinukula's leadership is vital in winning series title

Fiji Airways 7s coach Gareth Baber believes the humility and attention to detail of Captain Paula Dranisinukula is vital in Fiji’s bid to overtake the USA at the top of the World Rugby 7s Series.

Baber who blooded eight new players in Hong Kong has praised the influence of Dranisinukula in shaping them.

“You have to lead by example and he did that fantastically last week and they should be able to provide focus for the next type of work that we have.”

A remarkable fifth successive Hong Kong title means Fiji heads into the defense of its Singapore 7s crown just seven points behind the USA in the standings with three rounds of the contested series left.

Fiji meets Canada at 4.36pm in its first pool match tomorrow, they will play Scotland at 8.20pm and take on South Africa at 11.28pm in its last pool match.
