Twenty teams will compete in the main category of the Silverwaters Tabadamu 7s tournament which kicks off today.

The competition sees top teams like Tabadamu Blues, Uluinakau Babas, Tabadamu Red, Police and Wardens battling for the top honour.

Tournament Director Malakai Yamaivava says apart from these teams, there are others who can create upset on day one of the competition.

“The latest inclusion that travels from Gau Island which is Katudrau 7s team who have replaced the national 7s team in their pool and now they’re pool with Police, Nakelo and Buha Bowral Blacks.”

Meanwhile, 16 teams will compete in the under 20 men’s category.
