Former Fiji 7s player and Olympic Gold medalist Viliame Mata has been named in the Barbarians squad in its match against England.

The 27-year old was also part of the Fiji side’s historic win against France for the first time in November last year.

The Pat Lam coached side will see the service of All Black Charles Piutau’ blindside flanker Liam Messam, Kiwi rugby union player Steven Luatua, Toulon’s second five-eight Malakai Fekitoa and John Afoa.

Lam is hoping to replicate its stunning win against England in the same fixture last year where they beat the English side 63-45.

Lam says with the players like Mata in his squad, they have a strong chance of pulling off another upset.
