England coach Eddie Jones wants his team to become the “powerhouse of world rugby” but has admitted he made a mistake in his selection for the World Cup final.

The 59-year-old Australian, who has committed to seeing out his contract which runs until 2021, is not renowned for owning up to errors.

But he says part of the blame for the 32-12 defeat by South Africa in the final lay with his decision to start with George Ford and Mako Vunipola ahead of Henry Slade and Joe Marler.

Jones’ spell at the helm of the Barbarians was an unsuccessful one as his team lost 33-31 to Fiji at Twickenham this morning.

This win is very historic for Fiji as after 49 long years, they have managed to defeat the Barbarians.

They have also proven that fielding 11 debutants strengthened Fiji even further.

Jhonny Dyre received a lot of recognition in the match after he scored a try for Fiji in the dying stages of the match. His try was what got Fiji the win.

He was awarded the man of the match for his outstanding performance.

With this win Fiji has bagged the Killik Cup.

The National side claimed a first-half lead with Enele Malele and Teti Tela both adding converted tries to the scoreboard.

Dyer protected that dominance when opening the second half with a try that was duly converted by Tela.

Fiji then hit back as Asaeli Tikoirotuma fed the ball to Temo Mayanavanua, who consequently claimed a try that was again converted by Tela.
