Pushing the development of rugby amongst young players, Fiji Rugby Union conducted core skills, strength and conditioning training programs.
The programs were for under 14 to 17 grades at Bidesi ground today.
This is part of the Holiday skills camp program where potential young players from the Deans competition go through training.
This is to expose them to the professional training environment and enhance their skills and knowledge in rugby.
Elite pathway program Manager Bill Gadolo says they’ve developed a competitive system for players going through the program.
“The objective is keeping tabs on our player resources so for the kids in the pathway program they should always challenge themselves because failure to do so there’s someone knocking at the door.”
A total of 73 players went through the training program today with the youngest only 13 years of age.
