Fiji Under-20 ready to face New Zealand

The Vodafone Fiji Under-20 rugby team is ready for their first match of the Oceania U20 championship against New Zealand.

The Kele Leawere coached side are in camp and is excited for the tournament.

Leawere says the team knows their first match will not be a walk in the park as the Junior All Blacks are chasing their fifth straight Oceania Championship title.

Leawere says their eight-week preparation and the experienced players in his squad will be a vital strength in his side.

“The boys have matured immensely over this preparation block and thanks to the taste for top rugby in the Warriors, and also against the senior Skipper Cup teams, we know they won’t be intimidated coming into this match up.”

Fiji plays New Zealand on Friday at 7pm in Gold Coast, Australia.
