Former Fiji Bati rugby league rep and New South Wales State of Origin star, Tariq Sims will not play footy for the rest of the season.

The St George Dragons back row underwent a groin surgery yesterday.

St George Illawarra Head of Athletic Performance Nathan Pickworth says Sims has undergone successful groin surgery that would sideline him for the final four games of the season.

Pickworth said regular physio should have Sims back for the opening round of the 2020 season.

Another Fiji Bati, Kane Evans missed Paramatta’s clash last Saturday with Newcastle with food poisoning but should be back this week.

The Eels play the Titans on Friday.
