Fiji Bati center Brayden Williame is expected to sign with NRL St George Illiwara Dragons in a few days’ time.
This came after his release from English Super League club Catalan Dragons.
The former Parramatta and Manly back has been linked with a return to the NRL with the Dragons in recent weeks.
The 26-year-old made 72 appearances for Catalans since linking with the club in 2017.
Williame played six first-grade games for the Eels in 2013 after making his NRL debut.
He played a further 23 games for the Sea Eagles across the 2015-2016 NRL campaigns before joining Catalans.
His signing with the Dragons is expected to be officially announced in the coming days.
Catalans Head Coach Steven McNamara says the club is disappointed with Williame’s release but is in full support with the decision.
