RFU Chief Executive steps down

The Rugby Football Union Chief Executive Steve Brown has announced that he is standing down and will be leaving the RFU at the end of the year.

Brown joined the RFU in 2011, and has held a number of roles including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Officer Business Operations, and Managing Director of England Rugby 2015, before being appointed Chief Executive in September 2017.

Nigel Melville, Director of Professional Rugby will be the Interim Chief Executive of the RFU until a new Chief Executive is appointed and in place.

Meanwhile, Japan plays England at 4am tomorrow while New Zealand faces Ireland 8 tomorrow morning.
