Rewa defeats Ba

Defending champions the Rewa football side beat Ba 1-nil in the last match of Day One of the 2018 Vodafone Fiji FACT at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Setareki Hughes scored for Rewa in the 6th minute of play.

Coach Marika Rodu says they will go back tonight and look at their weaknesses before their next game tomorrow.

“Scoring two or more would be an advantage for us but we will go back in camp and talk about what can be done better and manage the players in terms of recovery.”

Meanwhile looking at other matches played earlier today, Tavua beat Nadi 2-1 in the opening match.

Tavua’s goals were scored by Vilitati Kautoga and Vilive Laulalevu while Napolioni Qasevakatini scored Nadi’s lone goal.

In the second match, Labasa defeated Dreketi 2-0.

Labasa’s goal came from Ratu Anare and Pita Bolaitoga.

In the third match, Lautoka beat Suva 1-nil.

Osea Vakatalesau scored for the Blues.

Tomorrow, Suva will play Tavua at 12pm, Dreketi battles Rewa at 2pm, Lautoka meets Nadi at 4pm while Ba to play against Labasa at 6pm.

On Sunday, Lautoka will take on Tavua at 11am, Ba to meet Dreketi at 1pm, Nadi to battle Suva at 3pm while Rewa will then play Labasa at 5pm.
