World Rugby will be looking to bring more top teams to tour the Pacific Island region.

This was confirmed by Vodafone Flying Fijians coach, John McKee following the team’s impressive outing at the Rugby World Cup.

McKee says teams in the Pacific Nations Cup stand to benefit from such a move.

“One of the proposals I’ve heard during discussions at the World Cup was that World Rugby are looking to get more top teams to tour the Pacific on an annual basis.”

World Rugby will hold a meeting with Tier 2 unions next month to discuss the Test match structure.
