Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama delivered a timely and motivational message to the Flying Fijians ahead of their clash with Wales tonight.

The Prime Minister who is also the President of the Fiji Rugby Union says they have to focus on what they can control.

‘If you make a mistake get back up and make it right never stay down pick each other up and get right back to business and at the start of this World Cup I told you we are with you all the way, boys we are still with you’.

Bainimarama says Fiji is still behind the team no matter what and reminded the players of the biblical story of David and Goliath.

‘The world may see you all as David’s they may see the teams from larger countries with greater resources as Goliath’s but read that story again and again you will find the real lesson of that story is that giants are never as powerful as they appear, one good toss can drop them in their tracks’.

The Prime Minister wished the players and coaching staff well and believe they can deliver when it matters the most.

Fiji will play Wales at 9:45 tonight.
