Suva Football Association president Mahen Prasad says he is ready to continue leading the district but needs backing from business houses.
Prasad became one of the most successful Suva president’s after the Courts IDC win over the weekend.
His term comes to end this year, with elections to take place at the annual general meeting next year.
“That depends on the people of Suva if they want me to continue. I really need to think about it. First I need financial support from the business houses in Suva. In the last four years there was hardly any support from business houses. Now that we have got this win, all business houses should come and help Suva soccer and if they come and help Suva I will surely continue.”
Suva will hold the IDC victory celebrations in the capital tomorrow.
There will be march from 10am before a cocktail night to honor the players takes place at the Civic Centre.
