Fiji’s runner in the Vodafone Lost Island Ultra Marathon, Petero Manoa is eager to be part of the historic event that sees 50 participants around the globe take part in the week long race.
Manoa will travel to New Zealand today to be part of a competition that will gear him up for the big race in April.
The Macuata harrier says the event will mean a lot to him especially competing against the world’s best athletes.
“This will be the first ultra-marathon happening in Fiji and I’m happy to be part of it because this will be the first time for me to be part of something like this.”
The race will go for six days from the coast of Rakiraki across the highlands of Ba and Navosa and finishes at the sand dunes in Sigatoka.
The race begins on the 2nd and ends on the 8th of April.
