Pending protests on Fiji FA agenda

The Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournaments continues today at Churchill Park.

While the tournament continues, the Fiji Football Association has promised to deal with pending protests.

FBC Sports reporter Shalvin Chand is in Lautoka and filed this report.

“Nadi lost their protest against Lautoka for having a player from Tavua who was registered after the end of the transfer window. Fiji FA chief executive, Bob Kumar says apart from this matter, the complaint filed by Rewa against Labasa on the transfer payment for Posiano Kalisito will be heard on Saturday however, Kalisito is eligible to play for the Babasiga Lions after the association cleared transfer payments. Kumar says the pending national league protests between Ba against Labasa, Tavua against Rewa, Tailevu Naitasiri against Nasinu and other protests will be dealt with on Saturday.”

Looking at the results of the games played on Thursday, Suva defeated Navua 4-0, Labasa beat Nadroga 5-1, Ba defeated Rewa 1-0 and Lautoka beat Nadi 3-1.

Today’s fixtures sees Rewa playing Nadroga at 1pm, Nadi takes on Navua at 3pm while Labasa faces Ba at 6.30pm.
