The Fiji Pearls netball side was brought crashing back to earth as they were thumped 91-31 by hosts New Zealand in a Test last night.

Fiji, which last week won the gold medal at the Pacific Games put in a disappointing performance, which does agur well for the World Championships next month.

The Silver Ferns had too much class exposing the weakness in Fiji’s armor.

The hosts led 22-3 after the first quarter, 43-12 at half-time and 70-21 after threw quarter time.

Fiji coach Kate Carpenter was disappointed with the showing saying the whole team didn’t play well.

The only little bright spot seen during the match was Afa Rusivakula’s 14 goals.
