NETBALL FIJI PRESIDENT WAINIKITI BOGIDRAU

Former Fiji 7s Captain Jerry Tuwai’s wife, Mereani Tuwai has been named in the Fiji Pearls extended squad for the Liverpool Netball World Cup.

Fiji Netball President Wainikiti Bogidrau says they have revised their selection criteria after their winless performance at the Commonwealth Games last year.

“We are looking at the holistic plan. A  player with a great attitude, a player that has discipline, a player that will go the extra yard and of course the player that is committed to training and is coachable.”

Fiji Pearls’ head coach Vicki Wilson says they have a lot of new players in the squad who are willing to stamp their mark in the international arena.

Meanwhile, the final squad will be announced in June.

The Netball World Cup will be held from the 12th to the 21st of July in the UK.
