Former Pearls Rep and current Suva Netball Association President, Timaima Vulimailaucala believes the next Pearls Coach should reside in Fiji.

This as Vicky Wilson was based in Australia while coaching the Pearls.

Vulimailaucala says if the coach is based in Fiji, a lot can be achieved by the team.

“A coach has to be here with their players. They need to see what they are doing, they need to have a program and actually monitor that program, and they need to, because when players get selected they play weekly competitions, they play competitions. They need to see how they see playing.”

The Fiji Sports Commission says all due procedures will be adhered to when selecting the new Netball Coach.
