Fiji Pearls make winning return in Test Series against Singapore

The Fiji Pearls have made a winning return to international netball last night.

Fiji defeated Singapore 65-57 in their first test.

Playing their first match in 12 months, the Pearls trailed 18-11 after the first quarter but levelled proceedings at 26-all by half-time.

Grace Korovata, Caitlyn Fisher, Aliti Koribau, Lydia Panapasa and Ema Mualevu made their debut as well for the Pearls.

The 14th ranked Fijians established a 47-42 buffer heading into the final quarter before eventually completing an eight goal victory.

The two teams will square off again tonight in the second of three tests.

The last test match to be held on Saturday.

This is part of the both the team’s buildup for the 2019 Netball World Cup.
