Middleweight boxer, Siliveni Nawai will be banking on the support of his family when he takes on Wahid ‘King’ Khan at the Wild West Boxing Promotion, this Saturday.
Speaking on his behalf, his trainer, Chanchal Baba says Nawai has been training away from home for the past few weeks, and to have them present during his fight will be a boost.
“His father is not here at the moment and is coming very soon. And his family, his wife is in Sigatoka at the moment. They are all coming on the 12th of December for the fight.”
In his last fight, the 21 year-old caused an upset defeating 2003 Pacific Games gold medallist Osea Nakanacagi.
The fight between Siliveni Nawai and Wahid Khan will be held at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi next Saturday.
Meanwhile, Heavyweight champion Petero Qica will defend the Fiji Heavyweight title against Napoleon Taumoepeau in the feature bout.
