The Navua football team just wants a win this season and they are hoping to break the deadlock in their Fiji Sun/ GP Batteries national league game against Lautoka on Sunday.
It’s an away game for the Southern Giants and Navua president, Gopal Naidu says they will try to overcome the pressure at Churchill Park.
“We know Lautoka has just won a game against Suva and it will be a plus for them. For us at the moment we have yet to win a game so we will be working on pressure and we really look to winning this weekend to gain the support of our fans with the Fiji FACT approaching.”
Other league games this weekend sees Suva heading north to face Labasa at 6pm on Saturday at Subrail Park then Savusavu on Sunday at 3.30pm at Ganilau Park.
Rewa hosts Nadroga at the National Stadium at 3pm on Sunday.
Premier league games will also be between Tailevu Naitasiri and Levuka at 2pm on Saturday at the Saraswati Primary school grounds while Vatukoula hosts Nalawa at Theodore Park and Lami plays against Levuka at Buckhurst Park in Suva.
A live commentary of the Labasa-Suva match will air on our sister station Radio Fiji Two with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
