Nasinu unhappy with FSSRU ruling

The Nasinu Secondary School Under 18 rugby team is not happy with the decision to have a re-match against Lelean Memorial.

In a protest against Lelean for fielding a player who had not been with the school for more than 70 days, team manager, Eremasi Levu believes LMS should have been disqualified.

He adds instead of a re-match, Nasinu should have replaced them in the semis.

“Its still unfair, the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union should have just looked into the way its supposed to be, rules of competitions says as you breach the laws of the games, you lose your place, so Nasinu deserves to move up to the semi finals rather than playing a rematch because this is unfair to the students.”

Lelean Memorial School Principal Aisea Rarokoliwa says they respect the decision and are ready to play again.

“The boys too are ready for the match its not a grudge match but just another match that is being ruled by the FSSRU to be replayed against Nasinu”

The re-match is scheduled to kick off at 2:50pm at Prince Charles Park on Saturday.
