Nasinu Rugby team to defend Blakelock-Biu Shield in the Country

*The Nasinu 15’s senior team will be hosting the Paramata II Blues Rugby club next year to defend its inaugural Blake-lock-Biu Shield. *

The team had won the shield 36-34 against Paramata during their Australian tour in March this year. President Paula Biu says the match was history in the making for of both team.

“This was a historic occasion that saw the beginning of a sister-club partnership with the Paramata II Blues Rugby club. This match was won by our boys 36-34. Next year it will be our turn to host and defend the Shield against Paramata.”

Meanwhile the finals of the Newtown Primer 15’s competition is currently underway at the Saint Marcellin School Grounds with defending champions Newtown taking on FMF Tacirua.
