Nadolo happy with Fiji rugby return

Japan-based winger, Nemani Nadolo says being back in the Flying Fijians squad after three years is proof of his hard work so far, playing top league rugby in Japan.

Nadolo is one of several overseas-based reps selected in head coach, Inoke Male’s 30-member squad preparing for the Pacific Nations Cup which begins next week which marched into camp today.

“Mingling with the boys, bonding and making sure they gel together going into the first game next week against Japan and that’s one thing I’m looking forward to.”

He last played for Fiji in the 2010 Pacific Rugby Cup and hopes his knowledge gained playing for Japan’s NEC Green Rockets will help bolster Fiji’s performance against the ‘Cherry Blossoms’ next Saturday.

“Definitely they have a lot of good guys, they’ll field a strong side this year and we can’t take them lightly. They are the Asian Nations Five Nations Champions so we’ve got a really good squad and hopefully i can add a bit to it with a little bit of experience I’ve learned in Japan.”

Fiji hosts Japan at Churchill Park in Lautoka on June 1, then travels to take on Canada on June 5 before meeting USA on June 19 then finally Tonga on June 23 in Japan.
