Tavua’s lone goal was scored by Ratu Dau.

Coach Babz Khan says the inclusion of James and Shah really made an impact on the side’s victory.

“We hang on to our possession which worked really well for us and we knew the hot sun is going to work well for Tavua if we knock the ball around and with James and Imraan playing for us in this tournament is a plus.”

Player, Imraan Shah says they managed to get through despite the hot weather.

“Very tough today. Last night was a bit cooler and its hot today but at the end of the day we win it and so that’s all that matters.”

Nadi will now hope that the Suva-Rewa match this evening ends in a draw to confirm their spot in the semi-finals.

Nadi plays Rewa at 3pm tomorrow in its last pool match while Tavua meets Suva at 1pm.

Meanwhile in the Premier Division, Ba is playing Nasinu right now and Suva plays Rewa at 6pm.
