Betting shops around the country are expected to be very busy for the next two days as punters will come out in numbers to place bets for the Melbourne Cup horse race and make some extra money.

Grants Betting Operations Manager, Vijen Sundar says they will be extending the opening hours of their outlets tomorrow.

“We will be opening our shops from 7am on Tuesday. People can go and start placing their bets all around Fiji at their nearest outlet.”

The Melbourne Cup race takes place at 5pm tomorrow.
