McKee not happy with second half performance

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee says his team needs to play a full 80-minute game in every match.

This as the national side fizzled out in the second half against Japan in the Pacific Nations Cup today, eventually winning, 27-22.

However, the side was dominated by Japan and Fiji only managed three points in the second half.

“It was a game of two halves. We have to really work on that. As we did against Samoa, the second half wasn’t the half of rugby we wanted. In the first half, playing into the breeze we got into a very dominant position but with our own errors, Japan capitalized and displayed smart rugby and put us under pressure.”

Fiji will now play Samoa in the final of the PNC on Tuesday. This after Samoa managed a last minute try to beat Canada 21-20.
