McKee faces toughest task to date

June 16, 2015 4:28 am

Fiji mentor John McKee says he faces his toughest test yet as a coach in selecting and preparing the Vodafone Flying Fijians for the Rugby World Cup in September.

The mentor says the caliber of players that will be contesting for a spot in the team to the World Cup is one of the best he has ever come across.

“It’s going to be very tough to make the final selection. There’s going to be some very good players who don’t make our Rugby World Cup team. We will go there (England) with a very good team. I believe that the preparation program we have got is world class.”

McKee’s only World Cup experience was as a technical advisor for Tonga, when the tournament was held in New Zealand in 2011.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Flying Fijians will host the Maori All Blacks on July 11th at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
