Mandatory Drug test conducted at Police IDC

Mandatory drug tests were conducted for all players participating in the Kontiki Finance Fiji Police Inter-District Tournament yesterday.

This was a directive from the Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho to ensure that the eight police teams from all divisions that are competing in the three-day tournament play a clean and fair game.

Police Soccer Committee Vice President, Sunil Chand says the tests are done to protect players and so far tournament has been running smoothly.

“We’ve done a mandatory drug test and we have not seen the results yet. We will not deliberate more on this one because it’s an internal issue and it’s the audit issue and we will deal with that.”

Meanwhile in today’s results: Southern 1 beat western1 2-nill, North thumped southern2 2-nill, East defeated HQ 1-nill, PSRU edged West 2-1 while North is currently playing Southern 1.
