Makoi Bulldogs to field development teams

Local giants Makoi Bulldogs will introduce one Under-12 and one U-16 team in the Fiji National Rugby League competition this year.

The club has a pool of twenty-five players from which they will field two teams this season.

Head Coach Eliki Ledua says they are planning to take the sport to the grass root level as part of their development.

“Is to put our junior players starting from the small kids like under 12 and under 16 so that’s a new challenger for us and to put together those boys during school time it’s a big challenge so we look forward to that and we know that if we bring for the better future in rugby league I think we can give them something back in the future.”

The Rugby League will start with the Vodafone competition in March.
