Makoe scores winner for Nadi

Amani Makoe got Nadi off to a good start by scoring the winning goal to beat Suva 1-nil in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants opening match at Subrail Park.

The lone goal came in the 84th minute of play.

An unfortunate slip by Suva goalkeeper, Emori Ragata who alongside, Nadi goalie, Benaminio Matainaqara rasied the din of the 8,500 odd crowd with impressive saves for most of the match.

Other incidents in the match saw Suva striker, Cedrick Dutt cop a yellow card for kicking the ball away.

The second match between Ba and Nadroga is underway – Ba leads the Stallions, 1-nil after scoring in the 28th minute.

The third match of the day kicks off at 1pm between Lautoka and Navua followed by Labasa versus Rewa at 3pm.
