Maika Sivo admired ‘The Stretcher’ while growing up

The National Rugby League’s top try scorer Maika Sivo has revealed that his best player is a former Flying Fijians hard hitting centre.

Sivo says while growing up there was no other player he liked to watch and admire other than Viliame ‘The Stretcher’ Satala.

‘Oh Viliame Satala he was a skillful player he was big and strong too so I always admire how he plays’

Sivo has scored 12 tries in 14 games for the Eels in the NRL so far.

The 25 year old makes an average 147 metres per game and his total running metres for the season is 2063.

In his last 14 outings, Sivo made 41 tackles and missed only 8 meaning his tackle efficiency is 82.6% according to the NRL.

Meanwhile, the Eels is on a bye this week but tonight Mikaele Ravalawa’s Dragons meet Suliasi Vunivalu and Tui Kamikamica’s Storm at 9:50pm.
