The Fiji Pearls Netball team will be without the services of one of its star player, shooter and former captain, Maria Lutua Rusivakula in the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Coach Vicky Wilson says Rusivakula is expecting her first child and is a big loss to the team.

Wilson says to provide cover, she is eyeing three over based players, Adi Bolakoro, Alisi Nawele and Bella Sorby.

“Three girls who are in our squad and are based overseas and so once we finalized the teams we will know when the players will return here to train.”

Kelera Nawai and Jacinta Lal have also been dropped from the squad.
