Ratu Navula under 18 coach Filipe Korotai says it was very hard to get the mindset of the player’s right especially receiving the news of the horrific road accident in Nabou, Sigatoka yesterday.

Koroitai says they received the news that some of their school mates, relatives and supporters were involved in that accident while preparing to meet RKS in the Powerade Super Deans semi-finals later yesterday.

He says the tragic news might have affected the players on the field.

“I kept reminding them to forget what had happened and focus on the game before us. They’re still young but that is not an excuse. RKS was a better team.”

Meanwhile, RKS meets Cuvu College in the under 18 final next Saturday.
