Horace James shines for Nadi

October 5, 2018 6:03 pm

Nadi football import Horace James showed his class when they defeated Suva 2-1 in their opening match in the Courts Inter District Championship at ANZ Stadium in Suva last night.

The New Zealand based Jamaican striker who played a major role in Nadi’s win says the atmosphere has been good but he needs more time with the players.

Nadi football President Javed Ahmed says the win is now a history and they should focus on their next match.

“This win should not get into our head because we need another win to take us to the semifinal. This win sets us a platform to our next game and we should keep progressing.”

After defeating Suva in their opening game, the Jetsetters have become one of the firm favorites.

Nadi battles Tavua at 12pm today.

Meanwhile, looking at today’s Senior Division matches, Nadroga plays Navua at 10am at ANZ Stadium, Savusavu battles Tailevu Naitasiri at the same time at Buckhurst Park.
